Internet Marketers – what motivates you?

This Internet Marketing thing isn’t easy. In spite of all the persuasive, emotionally manipulative sales pages one may see for various products, services and systems that purport to guarantee you income and make your life easier – it ain’t so!

What is so is that, even though it may not be easy, it is a worthwhile pursuit.

How so? Well … there are long days researching, site preparation, learning the nuances of site appeal as well as traffic generation and all the other tidbits of presentation, preparation and implementation … BUT … and a BIG BUT this is, when succsessful … one can walk away for a period of time with little or no consequence.

Also, there are no geographical straps … meaning – anywhere that one can operate a conputer with an Internet connection – one can work. Neat, HUH?

There is one BIG PROBLEM. Motivation. What drives a person to stay the course and succeed. Ah, there in lies the rub!

Many a time the enthusiasm is great when the project gets going but peters out as one loses interest. And why would one lose interest? Well … ya’ know that phrase “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” ? There’s a lot of truth in it. But, (there’s always a “but”, yes?) it doesn’t always work that way. Sometimes, especially when attempting to create income from one’s love of something, one finds that there just ain’t any money in it at all.

Now that can be very discouraging!

Also, sometimes there are things one does for the love of it just out of pure joy and attaching the “Make Money” syndrome to it just spoils it. Yes?

I like the word “like” better. Why? Because, and I think this will hold true for you too, I can learn to “like” something whereas “Love”  … well … to me at least it’s not something you learn.

Now, I do get torn here because this is such a tough subject. There are two schools of thought about this. In Alexis Dawes book “Desperate Buyers“, she states : “Instead of wondering how I could profit from the things I enjoy, I began looking at the things that made my life unbearable. I asked myself  “what dreadful problems have I overcome and could I teach others to do the same”?

Therein is a solution to selling a product and/or a service – find a problem, solve it and offer it to the public – but I still haven’t touched on the motivational aspect of the process.

Robert Ringer, in his book Action!: Nothing Happens Until Something Moves, pagess 96 and 97 – The Power of Passion, he states ” the ideal, then, is to become passionately motivated.”

“How do you develop passion?  If you came home one day and found your house in flames and you family inside, you would probably develop an instant passion so strong that you would try to make your way through the flames in an effort to save your family. What would cause such an instant passion is purpose“.

So, what’s your purpose? And, please, don’t say to “Make Money”. Rather, ask yourself  “what would the money be for”?

People have problems even answering that question.

O.K. I know I ramble a bit and, perhaps, I haven’t shed as much light on this subject as can be shed. I do know this, one of the actions I’ve taken that has helped me progress is to read a Goal Book by a fellow who is a mentor to many successful Internet marketers. His name is Paul Myers.

I own the Private Label Rights to this book and can do pretty much anything I care to do with it. I can edit it, put my name on it, sell it or give it away. First – I’m not going to take credit for it because … well … I ain’t that good. Secondly, I’m not going to sell it – I’m going to give it away. Why you may ask? My reasons are twofold – it’s good and it’ll benefit anyone that reads it and applies it’s teachings. Secondly – because I own rights to it, I can brand it – add a little something to it and allow you to pass it on to whomever you feel it would benefit. Which, I believe, is everyone!

Take me up on this offer – it’s a win/win situation. You’ll benefit by clarifying your goals which will lead to purpose which will, I’m pretty damn sure, lead to some financial success for you. And, because I’ve branded the book and allow you to pass it on to anyone that you feel would benefit, which is, I believe, everyone you know, I benefit. Win/Win. Cool!

Here’s the link -> Goal Book with worksheets in a zip file <- . Hopefully, you know how to click on a link, find where to save the file (Desktop, preferably), unzip it and put it to good use.

One final thing, if you want to purchase Private Label Rights to this Goal Book and worksheets go to Paul’s blog page here and see how to get it -> Goal Book PLR <- . That’s not an affiliate link. I get no compensation for sending you there if you buy PLR to Paul’s book. What I do get is something far more important then money – GoodWill!

Catch ya’ soon!
May your getting be prodigious!
